I bought this one used a few months ago, my first Jackson and my first neck through construction guitar in thirty years of playing.
I have this same pickup combination, a Duncan JB and '59, in a few other guitars but this one sounds a lot
different. It totally screams ! The JB in the bridge is very vocal and throaty and the 59 in the neck is very clear and open, great for rhythm playing or blues solos. It just loves high gain !
It was also the first electric with a compound radius fingerboard that I've played. I thought it might take a lot of getting used to but in practice it's not really that noticeable, after playing it for a few minutes it becomes the norm..
It's a 2003 guitar bought used, the previous owner played and gigged it hard, hard to tell from the photos but it's well used with a few dings and scratches or " character marks" as some say
