Honnêtement, j'en arrive à me demander si HB fait du bénéfice sur ces grattes, c'est incroyable que des instruments aussi abordables aient ce genre d'option.

La question, est ce que ça sonne.

Je n'ai plus de telecaster mais c'est tentant. D'autant que je me demande vu la conception très simple, mais géniale, des telecaster si finalement ça vaut le coup d'investir des milliers d'euros.
Ma classic vibe, outre son poids et un vernis pas nitro, ne demeritait pas par rapport à ma reissue 52.
Je voulais me faire une blackguard chez mjt mais j'avoue que je doute.

Most likely they are, both brands suddenly have seafoam green lefty guitars, very odd as that finish in lefty was very uncommon.

T'en as chopé une Elixir ou c'est juste en te basant sur les démos?
Franchement j'ai jamais joue d'hb, mais la jet que je viens de recevoir sonne vraiment bien.
Je l'ai chopé parceque j'avais besoin de sonorités strats, je l'ai amenée en répét, et ça fait le job à 100%.
Je reste bluffé de la qualité général et je me lassd pas du manche qui fait halluciner. Tout est parfait: la forme, le feeling, les finitions ( o sharp fret) et meme le grain de l'érable est joli. Je pense que c'est un manche une piece

L'électronique est progressive de folie
Seul défaut les micros
Ils sont excellents en son clair et crunch mais deviennent brouillon avec beaucoup de disto

J'avais tenté deux Harley benton pour les soirées punk à chien c'est de la daube, pas agréable à jouer, son étriqué, frettes en mousse et justesse pas possible même avec réglages

Ma fille s'est payé une Sg harley benton , a part quelques finitions c'est du trés trés bon pour le prix, ça sonne super ...et le prix encore surtout ...

Etait-ce la même gamme ? (coloris seafom et consorts et érable torréfié pour le manche)

Parce que c'est du rebadgeage, les 2. On sait comment marche la production industrielle actuelle, donc la Jet et la Harley Benton de caractéristiques identiques ont une probabilité plus forte d'avoir été faite sur la même chaîne de production que 2 Harley Benton de gammes différentes.

Ou 2 Jet de gammes différentes, avec même pas la même tête ! :mrgreen:

T'as vu l'accès aux aigues hyper confortable? Je trouve aussi la lutherie incroyable, quelque part ça me rassure sue tu aies le meme feeling, j'avais l'impression d'etre un peu fêlé.

Concernant HB , je ne connais pas leur guitare , j'ai juste un CAB 112 customisé et le systeme sans fil pour le moment je suis satisfait des produits , la Fusion T dispo chez TOTO je la trouve ultra a mon gout ......mais je résiste

NEVER BUY A HARLEY BENTON GUITAR AGAIN

A backwards RIGHT handed nut on a lefty guitar, with nut slots cut too low :roll:

Adjusted truss rod, to medium / high at 12th fret ... still major fret buzz on string 4, 5 +6 up to the 11th fret

It's going back.

Photos are as good as I can get with a phone, but you can see break angle is wrong, it's on the wrong side of the nut, plus it's sloppy.

Passed QC though.

Harvey must have been asleep at the time.

The guitar is actually well put together, the neck is very nice, the finish looks great ( it might not be pristine for long though as the satin finish looks like it will quickly wear).

Weight is on the heavy side, over 8lbs easily. I didn't take any photos, never got the chance, didn't even plug it in. Unfortunate as it was fairly loud and resonant .. let down by a crappy nut.

It's back in it's box for return to Thomann ... which took 40 days the last time I returned a Harley Benton guitar to them :twisted:

Which means the $$$ is tied up until that process is complete. :roll:

I had the DC, it was pretty decent for the price and sounded good. No issues in terms of finish, nut etc. A bit of oil on the fingerboard could have been necessary. Beside that, no complains on the quality side. However I didn't like the adjustable bridge, it was cutting my hand, that's why I returned it

got myself a HB banjitar. Since it's my first banjo ever, I believe it sounds great (like some tincan meets a frying pan -hey, a banjo sounds like that).
I'm not sure about the finish, the nut and all, but no buzz (no wired strings though: I'm using the nashville tuning) no detuning - the keys seem a bit cheap but hey, for 100 € I guess it's fine.
Those low-cost brands seem to be a heads or tail thing...

The only flaw is the set-up. That's one of the most tricky part of guitar manufacturing, and the always neglected one.

Thomann don't care, they sell enough guitars to avoid good QC one those ones, especially leftys. It's gonna go go to B-stock, gonna do a couple of back and forth till someone is gonna keep it and set-it up properly. And chances are that Thomann still gonna get some money out of it.

It's a Catch 22 .. a new nut and set up locally will cost maybe half the price of the guitar, and it's still a gamble as most "luthiers" haven't done many lefty guitar setups.

And changing the nut would probably mean I would not get a refund from Thomann, so it's not worth it.

It will be interesting to see if it turns up again ( that's why I posted a photo of the serial number :guitar:

La plupart des gauchers entrée de gamme de ce genre de marque que j'ai eu (Gearformusic, harley benton en tête) n'ont pas de sillet gaucher. C'est un droitier mis à l'envers avec éventuellement un usinage (mal fait) des gorges. C'est le son de cithare quasi assuré.
Un sillet chez un luthier sympa c'est 50€ grand minimum (mais un gain de confort de jeu intéressant).
Dans le meilleur des cas, le sillet est souvent très haut (pour éviter les frises entre la sortie d'usine et l'arrivée chez le client), c'est faisable de le faire soi-même : inverser l'arrondi (facile, il suffit de poncer) et refaire les gorges (mais il faut soit une lime adaptée soit quelque chose d'abrasif et fin).
Mais sur une gratte à ce prix, ça commence à pas être très normale.

Man so sorry for you. It really is disappointing to see such a beautiful piece of flamed maple neck so poorly treated.

You gotta go try out the Jet Guitars. My Js 400 was set up spot on and the QC has made an incredible job with this one. The roasted maple neck is crazy comfy and the sounds are so STRAT.

On the two I have tried, this one and an acoustic, the fretwork was fine. Intonation was also good.

I didn't have either very long though as the nut was shite on both :mrgreen:

So according to the tracking the guitar was returned to Thomann last Friday, 4 days ago, but it still hasn't been processed, so still no sign of a refund.

By the way when I started the return process I had to attach photos of the problem, the ones I posted earlier. Didn't have to do that last year when I returned a Harley Benton acoustic.

Maybe a lot of Harley Bentons are being returned ? :cont:
